I have a Sun Fire X4140 running Linux with a Sun StorageTek SAS RAID HBA
installed. I keep getting SCSI hangs reported by the kernel that some folks
suggest would be fixed by firmware upgrades.
Oracle makes it so I can't get official updates without a contract, but
I'm pretty sure this is just a rebranded card. Anyone know of firmware from
Microsemi/Adaptec that could work instead?
I thought I'd ask after seeing mention of something similar being done
with fiber HBAs.

I did not. Probably doesn't help that I trusted a help doc that said I
should do a
forward to re-send a message to the list that first bounced. That's why my
first message looked so strange.
